About Nicola
I am a third-year student at the University of Oxford studying maths and philosophy with an emphasis on pure maths (algebra, analysis, geometry, group theory, graph theory, logic). At school I took maths and further maths OCR A-levels including mechanics and statistics modules. I have had experience teaching English as a foreign language and have been a guide leader for six years. I have also tutored family friends in maths and physical sciences.

I teach secondary school maths and further maths (physics if particularly requested) as well as university admissions practice and advice in these areas.
My approach to teaching is to find the explanation that is most intuitive to the student; there are always many ways of thinking about maths, and I believe anyone can get to grips with it with the right approach. I am also a firm advocate for practice questions and that concepts become easier the more time is spent thinking and playing around with them.
