About Sophia
Hi! I’m Sophia and I’m a first year undergraduate studying PPE at the University of Oxford. I achieved 4 A*s in my A-levels and nine grade 9s at GCSE. I’ve tutored and mentored students since school, allowing me to discover a range of teaching styles which fit different learning styles and have loved seeing students progress through their education.
I want to support students to achieve whichever grades they desire and can adapt the pace of teaching to their needs.

My lessons will be on Zoom and will usually last 60 minutes, however this can be adapted on student request!
I’m mostly available for evenings on weekdays, but at a greater range of times on weekends. My teaching style will vary student to student, depending on the areas of the subject they need more time on, their pace of learning, and the activities which help them best. I will contact all students prior to lessons asking if there are areas they need to focus on. I will always begin with recap activities, and when introducing new concepts will explain them at the student's pace before diving into some practice questions and exercises. I can also schedule extra lessons around mocks/other exams where we can address revision lists.

Sophia is not only a very good friend, but also a very helpful and selfless person! She’s super organised and reliable, as well as being very kind, understanding and supportive. She’s always been amazing at helping me understand maths questions, that I would never have understood without her and she is very intelligent. She’s a lot of the reason I passed maths and I couldn’t recommend her more!
