About George

I've always wanted to help tutor and teach others because I've been lucky enough to have some amazing teachers in school whose passion for their subjects really inspired me and that's what really hooked me into Physics! Throughout my life I've always asked so many questions (perhaps I never outgrew that toddler phase) and I quickly discovered that often physics had those answers, but to truly understand physics better, one needs a good grasp of the underlying maths and so the two eventually go hand in hand in a rather beautiful and cool way! I want to help other people who may struggle with physics and maths (trust me, I've been there) or are already super passionate about the subjects (I ended up there too) to engage more, and better understand them until you too may see them as cool! (Or at least no longer dread doing the homework questions--that's the first and most important step!)

About the lesson

I'm a Physics and Philosophy Graduate (2019-2023) from Oxford University, and currently undertaking a research Masters at Bristol University, so I've had lots of experience with one-on-one tutoring (with some of the world's best tutors) and at school helped tutor younger years with maths and physics problems. I still use what I learnt at GCSE and A-level (and before) on a daily basis in my course so it's all still fresh in my head. I tried many different revision and studying techniques until I found what worked for me so I have a wide range of experience to help you find your preferred learning style. I can help with homework problems, general queries, concerns & understanding, and exam/revision tips & techniques. Lessons would typically be 1 hour but I can be flexible, with 30 mins for short topics or brief queries, up to 2 hours for more in-depth learning or entire topic revisions. In the past I have used virtual whiteboards so both students and I can write/draw interchangeably, and these are also still accessible after the lesson has ended so they can be accessed easily whenever needed for tests and revision.
