About Catherine
I am an Earth Sciences PhD student at the University of Oxford, having graduated from Exeter with a BSc in Environmental Science (2018), and KCL with an MSc in Environmental Monitoring, Modelling & Management (2020).
Academically, I specialise in Earth & Environmental Sciences. My PhD looks at biogeochemical cycles in peatland and Arctic rivers. I use field monitoring and remote sensing, combined with geochemical laboratory work, to understand these processes in an interdisciplinary manner.
Before starting this project at Oxford, I worked for two years as Operations Manager for a multi-million pound adventure tourism business. In this role, I was responsible for team and individual professional development and now apply those skills to academic coaching, with a focus on building confidence and drawing out areas of strength.
