About Amy
I am driven to teach because I am passionate about nurturing young minds and helping students discover the joy of learning. I understand that not everyone enjoys school and some can have very negative experiences of education - I aim to listen and try my best to change that perception. As a recent PGCE graduate from the University of Oxford with a first-class undergraduate degree, I bring a calm and patient approach, strong subject knowledge in history, and an engaging teaching style tailored to each student's needs. My academic achievements, with all GCSEs and A-levels at either A* or A, reflect my dedication to academic excellence. I am enthusiastic about creating a supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and personally, fostering their confidence and love for learning.

I am a recent PGCE graduate from the University of Oxford specialising in history, set to begin my teaching career in September. My approach to private tutoring is highly personalised, focusing on the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I employ discussions, practical exercises, and tailored assignments to foster active learning and critical thinking. Sessions typically last 60 minutes but can be shorter or longer depending on requirements. I am flexible to follow parents' guidance on topics or select them based on student needs.
