About Annabel
Hi! I'm Annabel, an Oxford Medical Student who genuinely loves Biology and enjoys helping students discover that it's much more than a subject full of facts to memorise. I achieved an A* in A-Level Biology before going on to study Medicine at Oxford, and since then I've been involved in both research and teaching. I know first-hand that the right teacher can make all the difference, so I aim to create relaxed, supportive lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing real confidence in the subject.

Biology can seem like a subject full of facts to memorise, but I believe it becomes much easier (and much more interesting!) once you understand how everything fits together. My aim is to help students develop that understanding, rather than simply learning mark schemes by heart.
I'm currently studying Medicine at the University of Oxford, where I've completed a BA in Medical Sciences and have been involved in both laboratory and clinical research. Having achieved an A* in A-Level Biology myself, I understand the challenges of the course and the demands of exam preparation.
Lessons are completely tailored to each student. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, looking to improve your confidence, or aiming for the highest grades, I'll adapt the pace and content to suit your goals. Alongside explaining difficult concepts, I'm happy to work through exam questions, improve exam technique and identify any areas that need extra practice.
Lessons are taught online and are typically one hour long, although I'm happy to be flexible if needed. I teach GCSE and A-Level Biology and aim to create a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes - because that's often where the best learning happens!
