About Blaze
I am currently a law student at the University of Oxford, with a particular interest in the philosophy of law and contracts. Through tutoring, I have found a real passion for teaching; there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student finally grasp a difficult concept or technique.
I am also semi-fluent in Polish and can hold lessons in Polish if required.

I teach maths and 11+ prep primarily through the use of Powerpoints with explanations followed by a number of questions. At the start of each lesson I set a few questions on past topics to gauge how much has been learned.
I go through any questions which are too difficult step by step, often using diagrams and drawings.
I have taught English literature and language at GCSE level through texts (poems, story extracts, play extracts etc.) which I present to my student for literary analysis and discuss together.
For higher ages, my lessons are informed by my experience with the unique Oxford tutorial system, which focuses not just on memorising facts but on debate about concepts and links across the subject.
Normally, my lessons are an hour long, but this is very negotiable.
I have been a tutor for over 4 years for ages between 8 and 17.
