About Josh
Hi all! I’m a recent Oxford law graduate who is offering tuition to students of English and History at all stages until A level, and for University admissions
Achieving A*A*A*A as my final grades in my A level studies (History, English Literature, Sociology, Psychology), and awaiting my degree results, I will be sitting the Solicitors Qualifying Exam next year, and will then begin my training contract at a firm in the City of London.
Lastly, as a former treasurer (MT22) of the Oxford Union, a debating society with alumni such as Boris Johnson, Theresa May and many more, I am well equipped to coach students in developing their skill and confidence in public speaking.

My lessons aim to replicate the Oxford-style tutorial system which I went through during my degree. I encourage my students to think deeply about the texts and literature prior to our lesson so that we can have an engaging two way discussion about the core issues in each topic. Wha t this means in practice is either setting them work to do before our sessions, or working around the tasks that they have been given as homework at school. I would then use that to drive our discussions and the learning process. Key to my lessons is helping students to understand how to construct an essay and deliver a strong argument to the examiner.
