About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily! I've just graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in English language and literature, and am currently studying for a postgraduate diploma in law. Having previously studied English literature, philosophy and religion, and history at A Level, I have extensive experience in English writing, reading and analysis applied across multiple subjects, which I am keen to pass on.
I've taken part in a range mentoring and teaching initiatives during my time at university, worked as a summer camp English Language teacher, and currently tutor English Literature at GCSE level. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Having a range of teaching experience (in both English literature and English as a second language), I have experience in adapting my teaching to work with students at different levels, which I carry forward into my current teaching style. I work closely with each student, taking a tailored approach by focusing on their individual needs and goals, whether this be directed towards a specific aim such as an exam, or towards broader improvement in their English skills.
I aim to provide my students with a practical skillset which will allow them to fulfil their potential and approach their work with confidence and enthusiasm.
