About Mark
I have always had an enthusiasm for teaching and learning languages. This passion brought me to Oxford where I explored topics in ancient and modern Asian languages to achieve an MPhil in East Asian Studies. After graduating, I moved to Japan where I taught English for learners of all ages in abilities in a tiny town. There, I got familiar with a broad range of learning styles and learned how to make language learning enjoyable for all kinds of learners.

I draft custom lesson plans taking into account your interests, learning style, and areas for improvement. This usually involves a warmup, a conceptual lesson, and an activity to put the concept into practice. I have studied ancient and modern Asian languages as an Oxford graduate student and I have experience teaching English to all skill levels from pre-K to retirees. I am happy to cater to all students but I have found that my style is best suited to students Junior High age and older.
