About Daniel
Hello, I'm Daniel, a second year English Studies (Medieval Period) (MPhil) masters student at Pembroke College, Oxford. I hold a first class degree with honours in English Literature from the University of Manchester, three A-Levels in English Literature, History, and Biology, and 13 GCSE's. Additionally, I am a current recipient of the Browning Scholarship from Pembroke in recognition of my current research.
Outside of academia, I enjoy watching and playing tennis, cycling, and playing blues and classical guitar.
I offer a full range of tutoring levels, both in person and online, one on one or in a classroom setting. This covers everything from KS3 to University level, and I can also help you out with editing and proofreading coursework essays, as well as advise and draft UK University applications.

I'm a DBS certified tutor with successful professional tutoring experience both online and in person, one on one and in a classroom setting. I teach Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level exam preparation and also provide tailor made lessons to undergraduate level with specific focus areas and aims. I've worked with people of varying abilities and generally adjust my lessons to the client's needs after assessing areas for improvement.
My lessons range between 1 and 2 hours, usually on a weekly basis, although this is adjustable to whatever the needs of the student are and I'm incredibly flexible in that respect. Typically, I also like to set 'homework' in between these sessions, as I believe its important for the student to practice alone but it also allows more time during the lesson to focus on the problem areas and talk through strategies to improve on them. I've also taught classroom lessons in the past and am happy to discuss classroom arrangements for summer schools and private classes.
I also offer (up to undergraduate and graduate level) editing services for essays, coursework, and UK university applications. My specialism is in Medieval Literature and Cultures, but my Undergraduate degree is in English Literature more generally and I am more than comfortable working with essays across any literary period, in comparative/world literatures, as well as history.
