I would highly recommend Martin as a Chemistry tutor. My daughter was really struggling with Edexcel IGCSE Chemistry and had lost confidence in her ability to understand the subject. An excellent Chemistry tutor who really makes a difference

I came across Martin Scott when I was looking for a Chemistry tutor to support my son through his A-levels. From the very first lesson, it was clear that Martin has a real talent for explaining difficult concepts in a way that makes them much easier to understand.

What I appreciate most about Martin’s teaching is his ability to adapt to the student. He doesn’t simply work through the syllabus or provide answers; he takes the time to identify where my son is struggling and then explains things from a different angle until they click. He is patient, encouraging and approachable, while still maintaining a good level of academic challenge. His lessons have helped my son become much more confident, particularly when tackling unfamiliar exam questions.

One experience that really stands out was when my son was struggling with a particularly difficult topic and was becoming convinced that he simply “wasn’t a Chemistry person”. Martin patiently worked through the underlying principles with him and then gradually built up to some challenging exam questions. By the end of the session, my son was not only getting the questions right but was genuinely enthusiastic about the subject again. That change in confidence was fantastic to see as a parent.
