About Ellen
25 years of experience as a certified mathematics teacher from first to eighth grade. The majority of my experience is 6th and 7th grade level but I also have taught from first to high school level math classes. I bring both expertise and a deep understanding of how to support students at different stages of learning and abilities. I work to build confidence by breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, guiding students through homework challenges, and strengthening organizational skills. I believe in partnering with the parents and teachers to help each child reach their full potential.

I bring laughter and fun into every lesson because I believe learning should be enjoyable. I specialized in breaking down challenging concepts and making them simple, clear and practical - so students not only understand the material but can confidently apply it to more advanced topics. To help ideas stick, I often use mnemonics and storytelling, making lessons both memorable and meaningful.
