About Oscar
Hi I'm Oscar I'm currently in my first year at the University of York studying for a degree in mathematics. The main reason I want to teach is so I can inspire the next generation to enjoy learning about maths and the skills you gain from studying it. For example, the main skill which you develop from studying maths is problem-solving skills which are used in lots of careers and everyday life.

My lessons are for anyone studying maths from the very basics up to A-level (Including A-level Further Maths). The typical length of my lessons will be 1 hour; however, longer lessons are available if requested. My experience is up to A-level. At A-level I studied: -Mathematics -Further Mathematics -Chemistry -EPQ. My approach to teaching is to let students see a worked example of the question first and explain it fully, breaking it down into smaller sections. Then I will provide questions for my students to tackle themselves.

My daughter is currently studying for her GCSE higher paper for her exam in July. I contacted Oscar for further tutoring outside of her school lessons. He is professional during the lesson.. patient and so far my daughter has gained further knowledge and is more confident in her studies. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oscar!
