About Maya
I’m a math tutor with over 2 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science. I mainly work with middle school students who are struggling with algebra foundations. My lessons focus heavily on linear equations, polynomial expressions, and basic functions. I break these topics into simple, comfortable learning steps. Puzzles and logic games are a big part of my sessions. They help students relax and enjoy the learning process. Real-life examples make algebra feel practical and meaningful. I’ve supported students with many different learning styles, including visual and auditory learners. I’m very patient with anxious students, especially those afraid to make mistakes. I celebrate every win, no matter how small. My goal is to build confidence one concept at a time. I enjoy watching students grow stronger with every lesson.
