About Latoya
PhD candidacy at MIT provides a unique analytical lens through which I view the intricacies of calculus. My career began with a desire to dismantle the barriers students face when approaching area and volume or definite integrals.
I have now supported 496 students in mastering subjects ranging from integration by parts to complex differential equations. During your first session, you will notice that I avoid formula memorization in favor of understanding why a specific integral behaves the way it does. We will analyze your current approach to exam technique breakdowns per topic to identify exactly where your logic falters. You will find that I push you to think like a mathematician by asking questions that force you to justify every step of your work. This process is essential for grasping the nuances of definite integrals and complex differential equations.
Because I am a PhD candidate at MIT, I bring a level of rigor that translates even the most abstract concepts into concrete applications.
