About Christian

As a certified teacher in Ontario, my main goal is to inspire young minds to learn, and be excited doing it! The priority for my teaching is the student, and always will be. Each and every student learns differently, and I aspire to find out what way you learn. It doesn't matter if you understand content visually, kinesthetically (hands-on), or orally; I intend to find out what works best for you and guide you in that direction! The first step in making a positive impact in your life is to recognize where you want change to happen. Good news, you're seeking extra help, that's the first step, now let me take care of the rest!

About the lesson

I create a safe space for students to express any of their academic concerns. I will tutor you at a pace that's suitable for you to achieve success in your studies! The key to effective learning is removing the fear of failing. I'll ensure that no questions you have goes unasked, and that you feel excited and welcome to keep honing your skills! Upon my 6 years of study (4 year Honors Degree in Geography, and 2 years of teachers college) I have learned that the best way to convey information that sticks isn't based on how you teach, but how the students learn; and adapting your way of teaching to fit the unique needs of the students. At the end of the day, it's about what you the student get out of this experience, not me.

A typical lesson that I run will start off with reviewing whatever content we went over the session prior and working through any concerns that the student may have. We will then move into the current day work that is at hand. In this main section, I will govern the lesson by creating a space where the student feels that they can dump all of their concerns on me. Regardless if it's test/exam prep, assignment revision/clarity, or simply course concepts that the student is in need of redefining; I'll work with the student to make sure all of their current academic needs are met. To conclude the lesson, I'll distribute practice work in forms of activities/videos and worksheets to ensure the student is on the right track in their studies.

My lessons are designed for anyone in elementary school or high school. No one is left out!
