About Lauren
My name is Lauren! I am an Ontario certified teacher local to the Niagara Region.
I have been teaching middle school classes for the past three years - a job that I love so much. It's so much fun to see how students grow and excel in middle school, and it's a joy to see my students fall in love with the subjects that I love as well.
I grew up around Niagara, spending most of my childhood either in the bayfront of Hamilton or around Henley Island in Port Dalhousie. When I am not teaching, I love to be outside. I used to be a competitive athlete for Canada alongside my older brother. However, I now coach instead of play, but being on the water in any capacity is one of my all-time favorite ways to spend a day.

My teaching methodology, particularly in math, tries to centralize student need and engagement. Our first tutoring session together, free of charge, will be all about you - the parts of Math you love, and the parts of Math that make your eyes droop or your palms get sweaty. Then, we experiment! Using the engaging games, puzzles, thought-provoking questions that are used in most Ontario classrooms, we will tailor a program to help fit your needs, your stage, and your age. All to help you unlock your talent as an everyday mathematician.
