About Shu-Wei
I was a primary school teacher, also had some au pair experience. I've taught in two schools, lots of kids. However, for tutoring, I am rather new. I only had one pupil, Irish, when I was living in Ireland, but I'd say we worked well. He applied for a school in Taiwan and got the scholarship for it. (Though the credit is mostly given to his hard work.)

As I was a primary school teacher, I am good with children, also a very patient, easy-going, and friendly person. I personally like to start my lessons from the very beginning, how you recognise every sound of Chinese (pronunciation and the basic tones), just like how we learnt it when we were kids. Then slowly approach to reading and writing stuff. However, I believe that different people are suited for different ways of learning. I will always adjust my lessons to match my students' need. (For example, if someone just wants to be able to communicate in Chinese in a short time, then I might cut the reading and writing part, also not putting too much effort on correction for grammar and pronunciation, just to focus on practical conversations.) I also like to teach in a relaxing way. We can be friends, and share about the Chinese songs, dramas, and books you like. It helps a lot for learning.

I basically don't charge for the traffic fee, but if your place is in a location where no public transport can get to easily, I would need to charge some extra money.
