About Jen
Hi!! I am Jen, and I have just finished my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I hadn't always been good at school, so I completely understand how it feels to be behind your peers. However, I am a strong believer in hard work and effort, so I would love to make you feel much better about yourself and help you achieve your full potential.
English isn't my first language, so I know how it feels to learn complicated concepts with fancy terminology. Therefore, I am determined to phrase my explanations in the simplest way possible and help you understand the content as thoroughly as possible.

I was a Maths mentor for Y10-11 students during my time in sixth form, and I also worked as a part-time tutor in a tutoring centre for children aged 4-15. Hence, I am proficient at adapting my teaching style to students' individual needs.
My lessons are ideal for Y9-Y11 students studying the GCSE Maths course (AQA, Edexcel) and GCSE Chemistry (AQA). Lessons will be 1-1.5 hrs long, but the duration can be discussed later, as I am always happy to accommodate your needs. My multilingual background allows me to phrase explanations in a very simple form, making challenging concepts accessible.
My lessons will start with a "warm-up" with quick recap/questions from previous topics to ensure content covered stays in your long-term memory. During the lesson, I will go over the content and do exam questions with you, so you can see my thought process, which I know from personal experience really helps. Lessons will end with a plenary to recap content and discuss topics to be covered next.
