About Mrida
Hi! I am currently in my third year of an undergraduate degree. I teach Mathematics to students in grades 5 to 7, and Psychology to students in grades 11 and 12. I am based in India.
I understand that everyone does not like the subject that they are having to study, which is okay, and I will try my best to make it fun. My classes will involve the usual lame jokes to make the child interested. I definitely encourage interactive sessions, and they will be structured as more of a discussion, especially for psychology. But my final aim is to complete the syllabus and make sure the student gets good marks in their assessments.

A session will be 1 hr and can stretch up to 1 hr 30 minutes. The class will start by discussing doubts from the previous class, then an introduction of the new topic and its application, ending with an assignment as homework. Class timings and dates will be set every month. A day will be set for the completion and submission of the homework online, which will be checked and returned. I will be open to solving urgent doubts in schoolwork communicated via email.
For mathematics, I will be teaching by explaining the formula with the help of visual cues for better understanding. I will also be teaching the child Vedic maths and abacus techniques for ease in calculations.
For Psychology, I will be teaching through case studies to help with memory, and explanations of concepts will be done by studying examples. The focus will be on the analysis of the science studied in the classroom, in real life. The students will be urged to think and reflect before the reason and mechanism is just explained to them.
