About Joseph

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language. Studied Portuguese and French extensively in my undergrad as well. I went on to teach ESL in Chile and did my Masters at the University of Concepción in Chile in applied Linguistics.

About the lesson

I teach using a variety of methods, depending on the students' needs. Most commonly I use the communicative approach, that is to say, teaching 100% in the target language. This is appropriate for students of all levels who wish to improve their French or Spanish, even beginners. If you're currently enrolled in French or Spanish classes at a university and need help with coursework, grammar, etc, I am happy to help with that as well.

Perfect! Really enjoying Joseph's knowledge of Spanish language. He speaks very clearly and I can understand much of what he's saying. He is patient when I don't understand. He is also willing to jump right in and start the learning process!

My rates are the same for all students, regardless of level. The first class we have will be mostly a diagnostic class. If you want to practice written comprehension and production, please a writing sample before class that we can go over. Cancellations must be done within 24 hours or the class is lost.
