About Kayla
Hi! I’m an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and a current DPT student with a deep passion for anatomy, kinesiology, and everything related to exercise science. I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body moves, functions, and adapts, and that curiosity is what drives both my studies and my tutoring. Whether it's breaking down muscle actions, explaining joint mechanics, or connecting physiology to real-world movement, I love helping students see how anatomy comes to life in motion. While I’m new to tutoring, I bring a strong academic background, a hands-on learning style, and a genuine commitment to helping others understand complex topics in simple, relatable ways. As a tutor, my goal is to make learning feel clear, hands-on, and engaging, especially for students who struggle with traditional memorization. I take a student-centered approach by adapting each lesson to how you learn best. As a kinesthetic learner myself, I understand the importance of active, practical learning, and I bring that into my sessions through visual tools, drawing exercises, movement-based memory techniques, and interactive discussions.
A typical lesson involves reviewing your class notes, working through assignments, breaking down complex topics with the help of mnemonics, videos, and visual aids.
While I’m new to tutoring, I bring a fresh, relatable perspective and a deep understanding of what it feels like to learn anatomy from the ground up. My lessons are great for high school and college students, especially those in pre-med, nursing, or health/exercise science programs who want support beyond just reading the textbook.
