About Emma
Hello! My name is Emma and I have taught the piano for over 8 years. I studied music at Trinity College Dublin and studied classical piano at the DIT Conservatory of Music. I also have a Masters in Sound for the Moving Image from the Glasgow School of Art.
I have experience teaching students aged 5+ right up to adults. I have been teaching successfully via Zoom and Skype for the last 6 months, and I'm looking to take on new students who are interested in online lessons. There is a possibility of doing in-person lessons in the future if you are interested, however I'm not offering this at the moment. Lessons will take place over Zoom or Skype for either 30mins/45mins/1hour. I can also supplement lessons with tutorial videos/audio clips so that I can explain things as clearly as possible, just like in a face-to-face lesson.

I can teach you how to read sheet music, how to play chords, and give you a solid understanding of music theory. I can tailor the lessons to whatever style of music you're interested in playing, whether that be classical, pop, film, new age, etc. I can also prepare you for piano exams if you wish. I have experience teaching Grades 1-8 with Trinity College London, ABRSM, and RIAM.
