About Rosaleen
Hi! I’m Rosaleen, a Dean’s List Statistics and Computer Science student at McGill University, and I’ve been tutoring physics for more than four years.
Physics has always been my favourite subject. I initially enrolled in Mechanical Engineering because I loved mechanics, and I’ve studied physics thoroughly, from AP Physics in high school all the way through university-level courses. For me, physics isn’t just formulas on a page. It’s a way of understanding how the world moves and works. That curiosity is what I bring into my lessons, so students can experience physics as something logical and exciting, not intimidating.
I graduated high school with a 100% average and a national merit scholarship, and since then I’ve dedicated myself to helping students succeed in STEM subjects. My strength lies in breaking down complex concepts—whether it’s motion, forces, energy, or electricity—into clear, step-by-step explanations that finally make sense.
I now teach entirely online, working with students across Canada, the U.S., and internationally. All you need is your computer, and together we’ll make physics a subject you can feel confident in.

My physics lessons are designed to make even the most challenging concepts understandable and engaging. Whether you are preparing for AP, IB, or high school exams, working through assignments, or tackling university-level physics, I’ll adapt lessons to meet your level and goals.
Here’s what you can expect:
1. Personalized Roadmap: Lessons are tailored to your curriculum and areas where you need the most support.
2. Coursework Support: We’ll go through your teacher’s notes, assignments, and problem sets step by step.
3. Conceptual Clarity: I explain the “why” behind the formulas, so you understand the principles instead of just memorizing equations.
4. Hands-On Problem Solving: We’ll practice a wide variety of problems, from basic mechanics to advanced applications.
5. Exam Preparation: I provide practice questions, strategies, and feedback to help you feel confident for tests and exams.
6. Supportive Environment: I encourage curiosity and questions, creating a space where no concept is too small to explore.
My goal is to make physics less about memorizing formulas and more about understanding the world, so that every lesson shifts the way you see the world! :)

Perfect! My daughter was struggling with Grade 10 math until Rosaleen starting tutoring her. With the online class format, she was too shy to speak up for help. Rosaleen happily and easily answered all her questions and her marks greatly improved because of it.

I’m happy to recommend Rosaleen as a tutor on Superprof. Rosaleen started helping my daughter, Emily, with high school math about six months ago when she was really struggling with the subject.
Right from the start, Rosaleen’s friendly and patient approach made a big difference. She takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense and always finds ways to relate math problems to real-life situations, which makes learning more interesting and less intimidating for Emily.
One time, Emily had a big math test coming up, and she was really nervous. Rosaleen didn’t just stick to the usual tutoring schedule; she arranged extra sessions and made sure Emily understood everything she needed to know. She didn’t just focus on the hard stuff, but also helped her build confidence by going over the basics and showing her she could do it.
Rosaleen has a strong background in math with her degree and several years of tutoring experience, but what really stands out is how much she cares about her students. She’s not just there to help with homework; she’s really invested in seeing them succeed and gain confidence in their abilities.
Since working with Rosaleen, Emily’s grades have improved, but more importantly, she’s much more confident in her math skills. She’s even started to enjoy the subject, which I never thought I’d see!
Rosaleen is a great tutor who truly supports her students. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with math.I have been going to Rosaleen for tutoring help for my sons since last October. One is in elementary, my other son is in high school. Before coming to her, my two sons had immense difficulty understanding the math and science concepts. Thanks to her though, she’s helped my son understand each and every concept. They’ve become so much more confident in their learning abilities because she’s been so patience with them and she really cares about her students.
She goes through the concepts, does homework questions together, and then gives them a few questions to do on their own so she can provide feedback and ensure they thoroughly understand the work! I would definitely recommend Rosaleen to anyone looking for an amazing tutor on a budget! :)View more recommendations
