About Aakash

Hey there! I'm Aakash, an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I'm currently in my second semester here pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science.
Since a young age, I've always had a fascination with teaching. Helping someone overcome difficulties was one of the best feelings in the world. Until now, I haven't had opportunity to professionally help someone. Through this platform, I hope I can help students clarify doubts, understand concepts and enjoy learning. I specialise in math because that's something I've learnt for 7+ years. As a computer science major, I am constantly using math in my classes, ensuring that I'm up to date with content. Chose me as your tutor and I promise to deliver!

About the lesson

My lessons are unique to each student. No student is the same, so I never lay out a set structure for my tutoring. However, I have a list of tasks I complete for every new student. First, I get to know their needs. This may be extra practice, concept clearing or homework help. This allows me to gather resources online. I have a bank of resources which I have used from middle school till college for all different lessons. I give students access to the materials which I think will help them. Then, I get to know the student as a person. This allows me to form a deeper connect with them, making learning easier. The more I know about my student, the more comfortable I can make them feel. Knowing them includes gauging their attention span, discussing their hobbies and bonding over common topics. This, of course, is in conjunction with focused tutoring!
