I have recently graduated an aviation program in Canada and previously served as one of my college's tutor, specializing in mathematics and mechanical physics. I emphasize on ensuring the basic knowledge of the subject is reinforced; often times my students who seek help for advanced topics will still have difficulty from the beginning of the related chapter or topic. From there onward I highlight different steps within which the basic skills should be applied, as well as the process of calculation, allowing the student to fully understand not only the means to solve a problem but also the ability to reference and relate to similar problems. Some of the examples behind my methods of knowledge reinforcement includes question banks, practice tests, and 'prove-and-explain' problems.
