About Ambika

My name is Ambika Sharma and I was born and raised in London, UK. I did my last year of high school in Canada and quickly familiarized myself with the curriculum. I am very detail-oriented and want to build a strong relationship with my students so they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from me. From previous experience, I have helped students significantly improve their grade within 1-2 months and have introduced new writing and analysis techniques. I have 5 years of tutoring experience with children as young as 7 years old to teenagers at 17 years old.

About the lesson

I am very interactive and focus on the specific student's areas of improvement in order to create lessons that are tailored to only them. I can do a taster lesson in which the student can get to know my style of teaching, and I can assess their starting level. My lessons are usually one hour long and I do one assessment every 5th week to track progress. We start by going over concepts from the previous lesson and I aim to incorporate a new concept in each lesson. As well as following the curriculum, I use my own resources to help students and I am also able to help with assignments. I can teach from grade 2 to grade 12. I received an A* in GCSE English, and was an AP Literature Student.
