About Behnam
Originally from England, I studied Human Geography and Town Planning (BA) at the University of Leeds — a place that sharpened my interest in how people, places and policy shape one another. Leeds’ mix of urban regeneration, transport networks and nearby green spaces taught me to read a city at multiple scales: from neighborhood change to regional planning. Fieldwork during my degree made me comfortable with maps, surveys and real-world data, and convinced me that strong explanations and well-chosen case studies make geography come alive.
Since then I’ve taught students across Asia — especially Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore — and those vibrant, densely built environments have deepened my fascination with urban processes, land use, sustainability and human–environment interaction. Working internationally has also taught me to approach topics from different perspectives and to select examples that resonate with each student’s context.
I bring this place-based curiosity into every lesson: clear map skills, up-to-date case studies, practical fieldwork techniques and exam-smart structuring. If you’re looking for geography teaching rooted in real places and real problems, I’d love to help you explore them.
