About Sam
I am about to graduate this summer at the University of York in Physics with an expected 2:1. I achived grade 9 in maths and physics GCSE and A*A*A in maths, further maths and physics A-levels.
I have always enjoyed breaking down problems and finding the best ways to approach them, from the easiest to the fastest. This translates well to being able to explain from different perspectives.
I enjoyed the process of teaching when explaining maths to my younger sister, who really struggled with it. The light bulb moment they understand it is very rewarding.

I teach major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and OCR) for any GCSE age and level and they can be for 30-60 minutes.
My session will be tailored to the student's needs, with the aim to build confidence and proficiency on challenging topics, whilst pugging gaps in knowledge. A typical session could entail going over a specific style of question. I would explain it by going through an example on a whiteboard. Then the student would go through 5 more similar questions with my guidance. A review would be done at the end to reinforce learning, with practice homework questions set if desired.
