About Prem
I am an experienced tutor with an offer to study first year Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Imperial College London. I have a strong academic profile with A*A*A*A* achieved in Maths Further Maths Chemistry and Physics, along with 9s achieved in GCSEs and a qualification in Additional Mathematics. Additionally I have scored strongly in the ESAT, obtaining top 10% worldwide for Maths. I have experience tutoring challenging subjects such as Further Maths and with my teaching approach, students have performed significantly better in exams.

Further Maths is a subject that cannot be crammed in one night - it requires persistence, dedication and repeated practice. With exams getting harder and grade boundaries increasing, it is crucial to not just know the content, but to also have the problem-solving ability to answer the questions when under pressure. I:
- Have prior experience tutoring for my subjects and thorough understanding so can teach in a style adaptable to the preference and pace of the student
- Have witnessed students respond well to the topics I teach and progress on to be successful in tests
- Teach topics using examples, with extra tips and tricks to help in the exam, followed by questions solved by the student on an online whiteboard
- Set personalised practice questions using spaced repetition and any doubts are discussed at the beginning of the next lesson
I recommend 2 hours per week to maximise knowledge retention and exam success, however this may vary on the student's preferences so I am flexible to prioritise their progress.
Note: I have done Mechanics minor, Statistics minor, Modelling with Algorithms minor (equivalent to Mechanics 1, Statistics 1, Decision-making 1 of other exam boards).
