About Nika

Hi! I'm Nika, a Computer Science (Software Engineering) student at the University of Malaya (UM) with a strong passion for programming, technology, and teaching.

I currently work as a coding teacher, where I teach coding and computational thinking to students with different skill levels and create project-based lessons to help them develop their programming and problem-solving abilities.

Alongside teaching, I have hands-on experience in software engineering. I have developed a full-stack CRM platform commissioned by a Malaysian company, working with technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Prisma, React, and REST APIs. I also have experience through software engineering and IoT internships, giving me exposure to software testing, secure systems, networking, and real-world technology projects.

I believe a good teacher should be able to explain complicated ideas in a simple way, be patient when students struggle, and make learning something students genuinely enjoy.

I teach in English and Persian and can work with students ranging from complete beginners to more advanced learners.

My aim isn't simply to help students write code; it's to help them become confident problem-solvers who understand what they're building and why it works.

About the lesson

Learn technology by building, not just memorizing.

Every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to their current level, from complete beginners to students who are already comfortable with programming.

My teaching approach:
Rather than spending the entire lesson listening to explanations, students learn through hands-on exercises, challenges, and projects. For younger students, I make programming more visual and engaging through games, animations, and creative projects. For more advanced students, we can work on larger projects and real-world programming concepts.
