About Shubham

I'm Shubham, a national-level chess player with a rating of 2100 who enjoys helping others understand and improve their game.

My approach is to build on your strengths, identify what is holding you back, and explain the thinking behind better decisions. Whether you're learning chess or looking to progress beyond your current level, I aim to make each lesson clear, encouraging, and suited to your goals.

I teach online in English and Hindi.

START WITH A FREE 60-MINUTE CHESS CHECK-UP
Bring a recent game if you have one, or tell me where you get stuck. We can explore how you think, discuss your goals and identify what to work on first. Complete beginners are welcome; no rating is needed.

WHAT WE CAN WORK ON
- Beginners: piece movement, board awareness, safe moves and basic checkmates.
- Improving players: spotting threats, tactics, calculation and reducing avoidable mistakes.
- Building a complete game: opening principles, middlegame plans and essential endgames.
The starting point and pace depend on your current understanding.

MY APPROACH: SPOT, EXPLAIN, APPLY
Spot the problem in a position. Explain the reasoning behind a move. Apply the idea in another position. The aim is to build a thinking habit you can use in your own games.

FOR CHILDREN AND ADULT LEARNERS
Children get clear explanations and room to ask questions. Adult learners can focus on the patterns and decisions that are holding them back. Progress takes practice; we'll focus on understanding and useful next steps.

ONLINE IN ENGLISH OR HINDI
Regular lessons are ₹700 per hour. Your first 60-minute lesson is free.

Message me with the learner's age, current level or rating (if any), one goal and two preferred time slots. Mention 'Chess Check-Up' so we can plan a useful first session.

Online chess lessons: ₹700 for 60 minutes.

Your first 60-minute lesson is free, so we can discuss your level, goals and learning needs before you decide whether to continue.

Lesson packs: 5 hours for ₹3,500 or 10 hours for ₹7,000. Both are charged at the same ₹700 hourly rate.

Lessons are available in English and Hindi. Please message me to agree a suitable time. Any Superprof platform charges are separate from my teaching fee.
