About Kathryn
I am excited to work with students! I am normally in the classroom, but I really enjoy working with students online. I have much patience and can help you in Reading, Comprehension, and Written Expression. I have been certified since 2007 and am seasoned in one-on-one and small group Direct Instruction. I am experienced in multiple sets of curriculum, but also understand that sometimes, students need specific help with their individualized areas of need and content.

I am experienced in Reading Instruction as well as components of English Language Arts. I have different methods of teaching Phonics, Comprehension, and Written Expression. I have been teaching students of multiple ages the concepts and skills needed to be successful. A typical lesson plan will involve purposeful Direct Instruction that can help students with content they need, and not waste time and money.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my ability to differentiate for many levels and modalities. Students learn differently, and it is important to respect all learning styles. I am also very patient as my expertise is in Special Education and accommodating students that need that kind of help.
I have taught Elementary, Middle, and High school students with basic foundational skills that is needed for success!
