Super Prof

Joyce is one of our best Portuguese tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Joyce

My name is Joyce Salazar and I teach Brazilian Portuguese. I have over a decade of full time language teaching experience across all age groups from kindergarten to adults and all levels of proficiency, from beginner to advanced. I have an Undergraduate degree in Modern Languages focused on Portuguese and English and a Master’s degree in Languages and Cultural Practises. I am a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and also teach beginner Spanish as well as beginner and intermediary English as a foreign language.

About the lesson

All lessons are conducted online via video (Zoom, Google Classroom, Skype, etc) using the structural approach to teach grammar with an emphasis on the core skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking applied to real-world contexts. Lessons are highly interactive, designed so that students do most of the talking and to minimise use of the mother tongue so that students can maximise their practise and learning in each session. We can follow a predefined course, or tailor the lessons to your needs.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Joyce.

Hi, I'm a student of teacher Joyce, during her classes I saw how dedicated this teacher can be to her students, always showing herself to be a caring and calm person who knows how to deal with the subject of classes in a cohesive and direct way without getting a very heavy class, super I recommend her.

I have known Joyce in a personal capacity for over a year now, and beyond her exemplary performance in helping me improve my own already fluent Portuguese I have always been astounded by the sheer number of former students that have gone out of their way get her attention and thank her in public for helping them through their school years.

Joyce is a consummate professional and a pleasur etoninteract with. Any student should be so lucky as to have her for a teacher
