About Michelle
California is known to be one of the most culturally diverse states in the United States with 1 in 4 people that are non-native speakers of English. As an Asian-American, Native English speaker from California and residing in France, I am extremely familiar with cross-cultural communications, gaining a sensitivity to cultural nuances and language challenges faced by non-native English speakers. My experience in mentorship and leadership has aided my communicational and informative skills as a tutor to prepare organized lesson plans, deliver constructive criticism for improvements, and assist others in their personal development.

Learn and enhance your English with an interactive and practical approach, tailored to your individual preference. A general overview of what to expect include:
1. Warm-Up and Conversational Practice - The intention is to get comfortable in speaking English and to acknowledge any improvements or your English speaking level before assessing the structure of the lesson.
2. Personalized Lesson Preparation - Based on your goals, we'll proceed with a lesson that best suits the skills you wish to work on (i.e. grammar, vocabulary, spelling, reading, comprehension).
3. Real-life Applications -This approach is always helpful especially if you plan on conversating in English. We will practice being in realistic daily scenarios, such as ordering food at a restaurant, writing emails, or engaging in workplace conversations.
4. Interactive Exercises and Critical Feedback - While most of these techniques enhance your verbal communication, we'll do a quick summary of what you've learned. I will also be providing constructive feedback to help you improve each time.
5. Questions & Answers (Q&A) - We will wrap up with any questions you wish to cover or what you would like to see more in the next lesson.
