About Alex

Hi! My name is Alex and I'm a third-year medical student at Cambridge university. Having just been through my school years, I am well aware of the difficulties that GCSE exams pose. I firmly believe that good tutoring can dramatically improve results at this level.

I gained all A-star grades in my GCSE's and have five A-star grades at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths. Furthermore, I am a scholar at Selwyn college Cambridge. All of these qualifications make me well placed to teach the sciences.

I thoroughly enjoyed science and maths at school, and aim to show this passion when I teach. Tuition with me would start with a discussion of your academic goals. This is a vital first step to enable me to teach you effectively. From there, I can take you through the content for each subject, using a vast bank of resources that I've accumulated. I've even written my own notes for many sections of the courses. After learning a topic, I would assess your knowledge using an array of past paper questions.

As well as the GCSE subjects, I can also help with medical school interviews, as well as the medical school admission tests. Both of these steps in the medicine application are extremely difficult, but with practice they can be improved. The content for these sessions would be heavily based on my past experience applying to study medicine.

I have more than 250 hours of private tutoring experience, and have seen incredible improvements from my students. I'm sure I would be able to say the same about you!
