About Prosper

I am a graduate of Physics (HND), a teacher and solar technician. I have been teaching since 2010. Teaching is more of a hobby than a profession to me.
And, I am usually excited about coaching young ones. Thank you.

About the lesson

My method of teaching is on personal terms and mostly based on student evaluation. I do my best to break things down as much as I can, one step at a time. I chose Math because I had a tough time assimilating the subject as a student in secondary school, and it was mostly due to the fact that I deemed Math teachers as harsh and the subject difficult. I try to inculcate the perspective that Math is easy and fun in my students whilst using practical and storyline approach to ensure impartation. I prefer working with young students (JSS 1 to SS 1), because I believe that is where the tension and friction with math needs fixing. If it goes wrong at that stage, it will only require a miracle to undo the damage. I'm quite unorthodox in my methodology as I try to relate with my students on personal terms. I befriend them and try to get them to be open, creating the opposite impression of how I felt about math teachers in the past. I believe that being very strict and intimidating will only scare my students, thus evicting the zeal to learn.
