About Kara
I am an experienced Teaching Assistant with several years of working in primary schools, supporting children with a range of needs including SEND, speech and language development and early reading skills. I am passionate about helping children build confidence in their communication and learning, and I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable to express themselves.
Alongside my school experience, I have completed training in child counselling skills, which has strengthened my ability to listen, be patient and respond to each child’s individual needs. I understand that every child learns differently, so I take a flexible and gentle approach, adapting sessions to suit their pace and personality.
I have a particular interest in supporting children with reading, phonics and confidence-building, and I enjoy using creativity to make learning engaging and accessible.
My goal is to help children feel more confident, supported and capable in their learning journey.
