About Sumana
I am Sumana Ganguly, a passionate and dedicated music teacher with training from Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Allahabad). I have completed my studies up to the Visharad level and have a strong foundation in classical music.
Along with my music training, I hold a Master’s degree in science and a B.Ed, which helps me teach in a clear, structured, and student-friendly way. I believe in making learning simple, enjoyable, and effective for every student.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong basics in sargam, voice training, and understanding of ragas, while also encouraging confidence and expression in singing. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace and develop a true love for music.

This singing class is designed especially for beginners and young learners who want to build a strong foundation in music. The classes are simple, structured, and interactive so that students can learn step by step without feeling confused or nervous.
Each class includes voice warm-ups, breathing exercises, and basic sargam practice (Sa Re Ga Ma) to improve pitch and clarity. Students are gradually introduced to simple ragas and easy songs, helping them understand both classical basics and practical singing. Special attention is given to correct pronunciation, rhythm (laya), and expression while singing.
Digital tools like music apps and recorded practice tracks are also used to make learning more effective and interesting. Regular practice, revision, and small performances help build confidence in students.
Overall, the aim of the class is to make learning music enjoyable, disciplined, and meaningful for every student
