About Rijul

I'm an undergraduate student at New York University, studying business and economics. My academic path hasn’t been perfect. I’ve faced setbacks, pushed through tough moments, and learned how to rebuild my focus, confidence, and consistency along the way. That lived experience is exactly what shapes the way I tutor. I understand what it’s like to feel stuck, unmotivated, or unsure of where to begin. So my goal isn’t just to help students get better at math. It’s to help them shift how they approach learning altogether. I focus on building long-term skills like problem-solving, academic discipline, and resilience under pressure. These are the same skills that make a difference in college-level courses and beyond. My sessions are tailored, supportive, and structured around the student’s pace and personality. I meet them where they are—whether they’re struggling to keep up or just need someone to sharpen their skills and mindset. I aim to be a mentor as much as a tutor, creating space for students to grow in both ability and self-belief.

About the lesson

I’m an undergraduate student at NYU offering online tutoring for high school math. I cover Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and SAT/ACT math prep. My lessons go beyond just solving problems — I focus on building a strong foundation, so students truly understand the material and can apply it with confidence.

My goal isn’t just to help students get better at math. I also work on strengthening their academic “mental game” — skills like focus, problem-solving under pressure, and building the kind of resilience that’s crucial for success in college-level courses. Having gone through the transition myself, I know how important it is to combine subject knowledge with the right mindset.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s strengths and areas of growth. I explain concepts step by step, offer strategies for test-taking and study habits, and make sure students leave each session feeling more confident than when they started.

The first session is a free consultation — a chance for us to meet, talk through goals, and see if tutoring and mentorship would be a good fit.
