About Xinjian
I am an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a GPA of 4.91/5.0, studying Electrical Engineering with a second major in Physics. Physics has been one of my strongest subjects throughout high school and university.
I scored 95/100 in Physics in the Chinese Gaokao, earned 5s on all my AP Physics exams, and received a Second Prize at the provincial level of the Chinese Physics Olympiad.
Having studied physics through both Chinese and international curricula, I understand the differences between different approaches to learning the subject. I enjoy breaking difficult ideas into intuitive steps and helping students see the reasoning behind formulas rather than treating physics as a subject of memorization.
I can teach comfortably in both English and Mandarin.

I focus on helping students understand the physics behind the equations rather than simply memorizing formulas. I usually start from the key concepts, build intuition with examples, and then work through the mathematical reasoning and problem-solving techniques step by step.
Lessons are tailored to each student's level and goals and typically last 60–90 minutes. I can teach in either English or Mandarin. My lessons are suitable for secondary school, JC/A-Level, AP, Gaokao Physics, and students who want to strengthen their foundations in introductory physics.
