About Julianna
I’m a nursing student who understands what it feels like to struggle with concepts, even when someone is trying to help. I learned that I needed to take an active role in my own learning, with someone there to guide me in a way that made sense to me. Since discovering what works for me, I now excel in my courses and have earned a place on the Dean’s List. That experience inspired me to tutor. I adapt to each student’s individual needs and help them take charge of their learning while providing clear explanations, structure, and encouragement. I am patient, reliable, and professional, and I come to every lesson prepared while creating a respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions!

As a nursing student myself, I understand that learning comes differently to everyone. Thus, I adapt my teaching style to how each student learns best, using visuals, simple explanations, examples, repetition, or practice questions. I also connect new topics to things they have already learned and ask where they may have seen the concept before, helping them build connections and remember the material.
During each lesson, we review areas of difficulty, work through the material together, and check understanding before moving on. I aim to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where students feel open to asking questions!
My lessons are designed for elementary and high school students who need help understanding class content, completing assignments, preparing for tests, or strengthening their overall biology skills!
