About Jaskaran
I am a high-achieving VCE graduate with a strong passion for learning and teaching, particularly in mathematics. I believe the most effective learning comes from understanding the why behind every concept, not just memorizing methods. Learning is non-linear, and students often struggle not because of lack of ability, but because of small gaps in their foundational understanding. My role as a tutor is to identify and strengthen these foundations, allowing students to progress with clarity and confidence. With proven academic results, prior tutoring experience, and a calm, structured teaching style, I aim to create a professional and supportive learning environment where students feel challenged, capable, and in control of their learning.

My tutoring approach is concept-focused and structured, prioritizing deep understanding over rote memorization while remaining flexible to teach exam-focused methods when needed. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes and are interactive, combining clear explanations, guided practice, and VCAA-style questions to build confidence and accuracy. I am a high-achieving VCE graduate (ATAR 96.20) with 50.79 in Specialist Mathematics and 48.01 in Mathematical Methods, and I have 2 years of private tutoring experience teaching Mathematics and English to junior secondary students. I tutor VCE Methods and Specialist Mathematics, as well as Year 7–12 Mathematics and English, supporting both high-performing students and those needing stronger foundations.
