About Cari
I am a third-year undergraduate student at Northwestern University with a strong interest in science and mathematics. I enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts and building confidence in STEM subjects. Having recently taken many of the courses I tutor, I understand where students commonly struggle and how to explain material in a clear and approachable way. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing strong problem-solving skills.

I am a third-year undergraduate at Northwestern University with a strong background in STEM subjects. My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand concepts in science and math while building confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex topics into clear, manageable steps and encouraging students to actively work through problems rather than simply memorizing solutions. During lessons, I combine explanations with guided practice so students can apply what they learn in real time. I also adapt my teaching style to match each student’s pace and learning style.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, introducing or clarifying concepts, working through practice problems together, and finishing with independent practice and a brief summary.
I tutor biology, chemistry, math, and general science for middle school, high school, and introductory college-level courses. My lessons can focus on homework help, exam preparation, or strengthening foundational understanding in STEM subjects.
