About William
I'm currently studying Quantitative Methods at the University of Queensland and have been tutoring since I started university in 2016. Since then I've tutored every single school term, teaching kids ranging from Grade 6 to Grade 12. At this point, I have 30+ kids' experience, and have helped many of them overcome maths and think of problems at school in a different way.

A large part of how I teach is gaining the trust of my student as their tutor. As I am younger than most of my students' teachers, I find a lot of success in being more relatable to my kids, as I graduated not too long ago. Telling stories about how I was in school and even the names of teachers that they might know is a big step in becoming a role model for my student.
More acedemically, I like to break down problems into much smaller pieces. I say the phrase 'every A-level question is a B-level in disguise' probably 20 times a school term. A lot of students mentally opt out of the harder stuff in maths, because they haven't found a way to break it down, and that's where I help. Every student is different, and part of why I love tutoring working through the problems, together.

Details
If I have to travel further than 20 minutes, I will typically ask for an additional $5 just to cover fuel. I don't usually travel further than 30 minutes for a session if possible.
