About Jiaan
In Actuarial Studies, I regularly use high-level mathematics to solve complex, real-world problems. I enjoy teaching because I can translate these university concepts into intuitive, logical steps for my students. My goal is to show how math functions as a practical tool for success.

As a UNSW Actuarial Studies student with a 95 in Mathematics Extension 1, I provide specialised tutoring for students from Year 7 through to Year 12. My approach focuses on building a deep logical understanding rather than memorisation, ensuring students develop the intuition needed for great results.
Typical lessons run for 1 to 1.5 hours and are tailored to the student's specific goals, including mastering the basics in junior years or tackling complex HSC Extension 1 problems. Having recently achieved a high Band 6 myself, I know exactly how to navigate the syllabus and exam traps to help my students maximise their marks.
