I understand how hard math can be, so I love to use visual aids to show your child how simple it can be. A typical lesson plan would be to find out the topic or assignment your child is struggling with and then break it down into steps. Some people learn by words, others with pictures or audio, some have to do it a few times to really get it. Figuring out how your child learns is the key!
I use whiteboards, blocks, coins, and anything I can make with arts and crafts to show how this skill can be used in everyday life. I am a mom of a special needs child & former homeschooler. I'm a new doctor and big supporter of women in STEM!
