About Hannah
Hello I am Hannah, a neuroscientist & artist!
I decided to express my emotions through photography at a really young age when I was going through a hard time not having the words to describe to others my experience. Understanding the impact of this on my healing journey , I decided to study neuroscience to understand myself and the brain and nervous system better.
I have not only studied the brain & became a Felt Sense Polyvagal Model Practitioner (a neuroscience based model for trauma and addiction that is helping you to feel more safe again), I have also worked in internation rehabs in Thailand and have run local projects for addiction in Portugal. During this time my passion was to integrate neuronal shifts with art. I believe in the power of the nervous system, creative expression and the ability to empower ourselves. When I learned to shift my nervous system I suddenly felt so much connected to myself again, that my whole life shifted.
I want to bring this shift to others and help you to be the truest version of yourself! :)

About the lesson

A typical lesson will be divided in two parts :
Part one we will go through some neuro-psycho-education where I am explaining to you to basic principles of the nervous system and how it responds to survival mechanisms, why addiction and trauma are survival responses and how the trauma loop enforces addictive behavior.
Part two we will go into practice and use the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model to learn "the language" of your nervous system, how it comunicates with you and how you can influence its states. We will use a harm reduction model and find out step by step how you can reach you goals.
Over time you will learn to regulate your nervous system, decreasing addictive behaviours and trauma responses and feel more connected to your true self than before.
I do not believe in blaming people for their behavior, neither do I believe that you are crazy. I am here to teach you what your nervous system does when it feels threatened and how you can influence its states and learn to feel safe again. No pathologizing from my side - only compassion!
These lessons are for anyone who is open and willing to explore their nervous system. Whether you have tried some meditation or maybe even talk therapy or whether you completely new to this- everyone can learn how to shift their nervous system.
It is an honor to work with people to find their own way of expressing their healing journey. I am looking forward to walk with you yours! :)
