About Rishika

I am a dedicated and reliable tutor who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I am currently in my first year of university, having recently moved out to pursue a degree in Neuroscience with the intention of progressing into medicine. Alongside my academic studies, I have gained valuable teaching experience by supporting my younger siblings with their learning, which has helped me develop patience, clear communication, and an understanding of how to explain challenging concepts in an accessible way. I approach tutoring in a professional and organised manner, ensuring each lesson is well planned, engaging, and tailored to the individual needs of the student. With strong academic foundations and a genuine commitment to education, I aim to create a supportive learning environment that builds confidence, motivation, and long-term academic success.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is structured, personalised, and focused on building confidence as well as exam success. I work at the student’s pace and tailor each lesson based on their strengths and areas for improvement, using ongoing feedback to plan future sessions. Lessons typically last around 60 minutes, which allows enough time for teaching, guided practice, and exam-style questions without overwhelming the student. For GCSE students in Years 9–11, I teach directly from their specific exam board specification, using it as a checklist to ensure every topic is fully covered and they are well prepared for assessments and final exams. For SATs (Years 5–6) and 11+ (Years 3–5), I use high-quality, reliable resources such as CGP and Bond books to develop strong core skills and exam technique. I am currently studying Neuroscience at university, having completed A-levels in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, and I achieved A/A* grades in Maths and Science at GCSE after attending King Edward Grammar School. My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary students who want clear explanations, structured learning, and support tailored to their individual needs.
